Their Use Case

Heathrow Airport Holdings needed to build an application to provide situational awareness and decision-making capabilities to the operations teams at Heathrow Airport by replacing the existing static map and radio communications system being used.

Our Solution

We delivered a team of software consultants to architect and build a ground traffic control and visualisation system for use at Heathrow Airport

The frontend dashboard provides a dynamic visualisation of all ground vehicles in and around the airport, including landing and taxiing aircraft. The backend server application collates data from an existing enterprise service bus as well as 5 other data sources from across the airport to represent ground vehicle locations, aircraft locations, aircraft gate state, and active construction works permits.

The Results

Our software team worked closely with the customer’s IT team to build a solid solution that met all of their expectations and desired outcomes. The solution was also built and deployed on time and on budget.

Upon completion, we managed a full handover of the solution to an offshore team for ongoing software maintenance and updates.
